The Camp Nou opened on 24 September 1957 to replace Les Corts, which had become too small for the crowds flocking to FC Barcelona after Kubala's arrival. Designed by Francesc Mitjans Miró and Josep Soteras Mauri, with Lorenzo García Barbón, it was built between 1955 and 1957, mainly out of iron and concrete. The addition of a third tier for the 1982 World Cup, followed by the lowering of the pitch in 1994, were its first major transformations.
The guided tour takes you around the stadium from the first tier before you explore the museum with an audio guide. The route includes stairs and is not suitable for wheelchair users.
The Camp Nou has only officially borne that name since 2001. Before a vote of the socios held by FC Barcelona that year, the name was merely unofficial and the ground was known as Estadi del FC Barcelona. Sponsorship deals have since had their say: the stadium has officially been called Spotify Camp Nou since July 2022.

MINABLE !
