About
The Stadion Poljud is Split's municipal ground, home to Hajduk Split since 1979. It was built that year for the Mediterranean Games hosted by the city, to a design by Croatian architect Boris Magaš. He gave it the shape of an open shell: two curved stands, to the east and west, covered by a metal structure spanning 206 metres, whose transparent roof rises 36.7 metres above the pitch. The ground holds 33,987 seats and has been listed since 2015 in the register of protected cultural heritage of the Republic of Croatia.
The guided tour traces the history of the club, founded in Prague in 1911, and takes you into the trophy room, the press room, the VIP box and out onto the pitch. Tickets are sold at the stadium fan shop, open daily from 9am to 9pm except on public holidays, and that is where the tour begins.
