Ce magnifique stade j'aime beaucoup Anfield et l'équipe de Liverpool avec leur merveilleuse hymne
Anfield opened its gates on 27 September 1884, initially as Everton's home. When the club moved out in 1892 after a dispute with John Houlding, he founded Liverpool FC, who took over Anfield. The ground is therefore tied to the very birth of the Reds. Since the 1960s, the Kop has sung You'll Never Walk Alone before every home match.
The stadium tour lasts around 80 minutes. Allow another half hour for the museum, which is included in the route. At busy times, especially around matchdays and during the school holidays, the tour is offered as a self-guided visit.
Until 1892, Anfield also hosted the matches of the city's other club: Everton FC. Founded by the congregation of the St Domingo Methodist chapel, who were looking for something to play during the winter between two cricket seasons, the club has collected nine English league titles and is now a Premier League regular. Based at the Hill Dickinson Stadium since 2025, after more than a century at Goodison Park, Everton remains on friendly terms with its neighbour Liverpool.
